World Book Week

We have had a wonderful week in Oz ! We have learnt the story and all about the characters.  We also really enjoyed a visit from a storyteller, bedtime and breakfast stories and of course our Dressing-up day.

Take a look at our gallery for some highlights of our week.

Spring 2 – Open classroom

Come along and join us on Wednesday 14th March for our whole school maths open classroom. Please join us for as little or as long as you can, between 9.00am-9.30am. We look forward to seeing you.

Open Classrooms

The children would like to invite you to our exciting, reading open classrooms on Thursday 1st February at 9.00am. Session will run until 9.30am, however if you need to leave earlier we completely understand, it would be lovely to see you for any time you can offer.

Service Families

Service Families

The Department for Education introduced the Service Pupil Premium in April 2011 in recognition of the specific challenges children from service families face.

Schools which have service children can receive additional funding to help support them, particularly at times of mobility or deployment.

At Northern Schools one of the ways in which we use this funding is to provide emotional literacy support (ELSA) for individuals and groups of children, and a special ‘Forces Club’.

If you believe that you qualify as a ‘service family’, and we may not be aware, please let the school office know as this additional funding really does make a difference to our children.
